The goal of this project was to help solve a social/medical problem through architecture. The number of suicide victim numbers in Lithuania is highest in Europe. The road to that is a chronic depression. Sadly Vilnius have no professional day care centers to cure depression using humane therapies, education and social interactions. The goal was to design one. PRC is located near the Psychiatric hospital in Vilnius city. It is an area full of vegetation and greenery furthermore the old town is very close to it. The building shape reflects on natural hills and trees to create a metabolic cloud-like shape that is a healthy thing to observe while having chronic negative emotions. The building contains a library, social room, SPA, yoga, music and visual art spaces that also provide professional psychological treatment. The building was designed according to the book Architecture as Medicine by Lena From and Stefan Lundin.
